Branson – BIG News

James Vandenberg can now add professional joke writer for major Branson show to his resume .   Stafford chose Jim’s comment card to read at his show last night.  “An observation, people who are employed to make kitchen work surfaces are paid to be  “counter” productive.”  It appears this is not the first of Jim’s jokes Stafford has stolen for his show.

We’ve had a great time with Jim  and Sandy here in Branson.  On Friday, we saw Rankin Brothers and Liverpool Legends.  On Saturday, we saw Roy Rogers Jr.,  the Andy Williams Variety Show and Jim Stafford.  Had lunch at Mel’s Diner – home of singing servers.  Went to Dick’s 5&10.  Took a drive around the area.  A really fun weekend.

I knew that James had talent. It’s nice to see that someone finally recognized it!

Sold the house waiting for it to close, sold all the furniture, moved everything we wanted to save into totes. We will spend the winter at Jean’s sis’s home, then on the road. The Tiffin is in storage along with the Mustang and the Ultra. Roger and Betty are leaving for Fl. in feb. We have about two more hard weeks until we finally get all the loose ends tied up on the house. Then we spend the winter planning our route, Red Bay the home of Tiffin is the first stop, then back through Ne. to see our kids, and spend Aug. and Sept. in the Black Hills, then on to St. George Ut and who knows after that. Hope we can spend some time with you guys this winter.

Money’s in the Bank, Motorhome is in storage, cat’s at the vet, (front claws removed) just waiting for spring so we can move into our new home. Jean was not sad about leaving the stick and brick home, but putting the one on wheels in storage almost made her cry. We have covered lots of ground in the last five weeks. Looking forward to tipping one with you guys when you are back in Omaha, give us a call. Kim
