Florida – Caution contents may have shifted.

We’ve arrived at our final destination yesterday afternoon.  We spent the evening relaxing and meeting some of the folks here.  Enjoyed the hot tub and the conversation tub (medium temperature).

Today we’ve been settling in.  Cleaned all the kitchen cabinets so that things don’t fall out when you open a door.  Looking forward to relaxing and having a beer.

Thanksgiving

We had a good visit with my dad.  Had dinner at their house Wednesday night – a great pot roast.  My dad’s getting around fairly well, considering how bad his car accident was.  Hopefully he will get the pins out of his foot in a couple of weeks and be more mobile.

We had Thanksgiving dinner with my dad’s wife’s son (my brother by marriage???).  It was really nice.  I’m sure it was difficult given the recent loss of their only son at 27 years old.  It was strange to have a young woman I’d never met calling my dad “grandpa”.

Left Tuscaloosa early Friday morning. Currently in Bainbridge GA – watching the NE game.  One more day of travel until we reach our new home in Florida.

Branson – Our Last Day

Sunday, 11/22/09, it’s our last day in Branson.  We worked today, had pizza with another workamper couple at the kampground and went to a show.  We saw Country Tonite (hated it) and Debbie Boone (loved it).

Then we pull out first thing Monday morning – we’re about 99% ready to go.

We saw SIX again last night.  Half the show was Christmas and really good.

We’ve seen 126 different shows!  A value of over $11,500 (more than we made in salary).

Branson – Three More Nights

We quickly winding up our time in Branson.  Have gone to Mel’s Hard Luck Dinner (home of the singing servers – where you go after American Idol) a couple of times.

Saw the Wissman Family Christmas Show – a family of 13 children.  Twelve of the children are still performing with the family (the oldest is married and living elsewher).  The three-year old stoled the show.

Went to Silver Dollar City last night.  They advertise 4 million Christmas Lights – Amazing.  Saw the Cajun Connection show while we were there.

I’ve decided I’m just about show-ed out.

We’ve moved the motorhome to a different site here at the KOA.  It’s more level and longer which should make leaving Monday easier.  For some reason, our cat Stinky, has decided to leave now that we’ve moved.  She’s got out twice yesterday.  The last time, I grabbed her by the tail  – Steve heard her accross the kampground.

Branson – And Christmas continues

We’ve seen a couple more Christmas shows – Presley’s & Haygoods.  We weren’t overly impressed – first half of many of the shows is their regular show.

We leave a week from today!!!

Branson – Home Again

We’re back in Branson after a few nights at home in Omaha.  Enjoyed our time in Omaha visiting with family and friends.

We saw Presley’s Christmas Show tonight – not much Christmas.
