5/26 – Rewood Canopy Zipline Tour – Awesome

Went ziplining today – six ziplines and two sky bridges. The highest point on the course is ~160ft, and the longest zipline is 440ft. The guides give really interesting information about Redwoods during the tour. AWESOME

Monterey Bay Aquarium

Spent the afternoon at Monterey Bay Aquarium.  Lunch at Bubba Gump’s restaurant, then back to the aquarium to watch the penguin feeding, the otter feeding, then the deep water feeding in the kelp tank.  A quick stop at Trader Joe’s, then home again.

Elkhorn Slough – Thursday 5/13

Went on a nature boat tour today.  Really interesting.  The captain counted wildlife we saw during the cruise — over 500 sea lions, 50 otters and 60 harbor seals.  Mothers and babies!!! Lots of birds.

Came back, built a campfile  and grilled outside.  A wonderful day.

Big Sur – Monday 5/3

Drove about 90 south along the coast to Big Sur.  Beautiful!
