Homeward Bound – 9/15 – London Bridge
Lake Havasu, AZ. We now know London Bridge is not falling down.
Heaing Home – Tuesday 9/14 – Needles CA
We’ve moved again. We’re now at the Needles KOA for two nights. Six days on the road and about 700 miles. We went to Oatman today. It was fun. We had Navajo Tacos for lunch, walked through the gift shops and watche the gun fight.
We had been there before on our Harley’s when we rode Route 66 – but we were in a hurry.
Oatman is

an authentic old western town with burros roaming the streets and gunfights staged on weekends. The burros are tame and can be hand fed.Oatman’s “Wild” Burro’s are the descendants of burro’s brought here by the miners late 1800 hundred – when the miners no longer needed then were turned loose. Each morning they come into town looking for food. They wander the streets and greet the tourists. Shortly before the sunset they will wander back to the hills for the night.
Heading Home – Still in Barstow
Sunday, we moved to the Barstow KOA. We went to Calico Ghost Town – a real waste of time and money. They should call it Calico a Rebuilt Mining Town full of shopping.
Monday, we went to Death Valley National Park. We went to Bad Water, 320 degrees below sea level. We enjoyed our day despite the heat.
Heading Home – Barstow CA
We spent the weekend at a very quaint RV Resort. We seemed to be the only ones there. No TV, limited internet. Hot weather. It was great. We spent time reading, grilled outdoors and general just relaxed. We sat outside, watchen the sunset and the bats.
