Homeward Bound – Saturday 9/25 – The Challenger has Landed Again

The Challenger has landed again. We’re at our winter home! We’ve decide to spend a few nights here before we drive back to Omaha.  Pool is perfect temperature, we spent a couple hours there before retreating  into the motorhome for the rain.  The sun is shining & it’s raining!

Spent last night in Carrizzo Springs TX – no internet, no TV, but it was cheap and the only RV park we could find.  Left this morning – dark & foggy.  Not fun, but it was good to beat the heat.

Homeward Bound – Thursday 9/23 – Marathon TX, Big Bend NP

Having the RV washed and waxed seems to have created a huge rain magnet.  We’re seeing rain for the first time in months.  Parked the RV at a campground in Marathon TX and drove the car to Big Bend National Park. 

 It looked like the last 1,000 miles of desert we drove through. We continued into the park and found mountains – very pretty. Didn’t rain on us, motorhome on the other hand saw it’s share of showers.

Homeward Bound – Wednesday 9/22

Returned from Carlsbad and picked up RV.  Overnighted at Van Horn KOA.   Way too hot for me.
